The trio of Lothar Ohlmeier, Rudi Fischerlehner and Isambard Khroustaliov came about, without fanfare or design, through mutual friendship, empathy and curiosity in each other’s music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing a tradition of freely improvised group expression; from AMM<\/em> to the Art Ensemble of Chicago<\/em>, the Cecil Taylor Unit<\/em> to Musica Elettronica Viva<\/em>, their music draws from the worlds of free jazz, aleatoric music, musique concr\u00e8te, and electroacoustic improvisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within a chamber music like suspension of hazy, reverberant intimacy, the trio chatter a three way musical exchange involving Ohlmeier\u2019s bass clarinet, with its mellifluous and free ranging narrative voice, Isambard Khroustaliov\u2019s electronics; a bubbling, myriad of sound sources and sonorities and Rudi Fischerlehner\u2019s drums and percussion; halting, arrhythmical but landing on the right spot every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
